Our Story

The Leo Bernard Group was established in honor of a loving father and avid outdoorsman who had great appreciation for our National Parks. Our Founder, Bob Gumz, shares his story:

"Every summer, my father and I would spend two weeks visiting National Parks across the country. Armed with our tent and determination to see them all, we managed to visit every park in the continuous 48 states by the time I reached 15 years old.

My father's love for our great National Parks was instilled in me, and I continue to carry on with our tradition. Before his passing, he made a request that I do what I can to help keep our National Parks as pristine as possible for future generations to enjoy. It was his hope that everyone had the opportunity to explore these national treasures as much as we had.

That's how The Leo Bernard Group came to be what it is today. My father, Bernard, would be so proud to know that I am fulfilling his dream of restoring and preserving our parks - and with your help, we can make a big impact!"
